Social Thinking Groups

Social Thinking provides a fun and active group experience for children who need to build confidence, who are unsure how to navigate the dynamics of a group, and/or who need practice being flexible social thinkers.  Group lessons target the concepts of thinking and feeling, following the group plan, and listening with your whole body. Older children are taught more advanced concepts such as hidden social rules, how to share an imagination, and judging the size of the problem.  Multiple visual aids are used to teach the concepts which are then practiced and reinforced in play.  The methodology for this group is inspired by the principles of Social Thinking.  Groups run depending on the number of children who express interest.
